Not even the powers of Netflix can stop the effects of Covid-19 as another show has been disrupted by its continued onslaught.
According to sources, the hit show that stars Henry Cavill, based on the books by the Polish writer, Andrzej Sapkowski, will not be filming any new episodes for the next couple of weeks. The show is mostly filmed at Berkshire's Arborfield Studios, so the decision to halt the show makes it the first Netflix show being produced in the UK to be significantly disrupted by the outbreak.
But The Witcher is not the only Netflix show that got disrupted. Just last week, the streaming service also confirmed that development on Stranger Things 4 and all of its other scripted productions that shoot in the US and Canada had also been suspended.
And while Norway actor, Kristofer Hivju, is slated to join the show in its second season, he is also just one of the many actors confirmed for Covid-19 and thus adds to the fate of the show itself as whatever plans for it to be shown on its original targeted date for sure has now been altered.
Season 1 of The Witcher is streaming on Netflix worldwide.
