Pandemic or not, the move for remake after remake never ends and never ceases to plague Hollywood, which equally begs to ask, "Don't they have any original scripts anymore?"
But in this case, fans beg to disagree and feel that a new version is a must. One such film that befits this "classification" is the 2011 movie adaptation of Green Hornet!
This is the poorly received film that starred comedian, Seth Rogen in the title role and martial arts expert, Jay Chou, as his sidekick and bodyguard, Kato.
Before becoming a popular TV series that ran from 1966-67 consisting of 26 episodes and starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee (his Tv debut as Kato), The Green Hornet was first a radio serial that premiered on January 31, 1936 over WXYZ, the same station that originated other known serials like The Lone Ranger and the Challenge of the Yukon.
It was first adapted for film in 1940 and it's sequel in 1941, The Green Hornet Strikes Again. Although there was a 1994 film version made in Hong Kong and a short French film in 2006, the 2011 incarnation is still the major film version that fans of the franchise want to forget and for sure would want a better and truer version made.
Peter Cramer, the President of Universal Pictures said  "The Green Hornet is one of the most iconic and beloved superhero tales ever created, and it has entertained generations of fans in every form of storytelling."
He announced via a known trade magazine that they are partnering with the Amasia team to launch an exciting new cinematic world for Britt Reid, Kato, and the Black Beauty, and that they can't wait to share it with global audiences soon. The Green Hornet was created in 1936 by George W. Trendle and Francis Striker. The hornet's identity is Britt Reid, the son of Daniel Reid, and owner of the publication The Daily Sentinel. Kato is his bodyguard and they fight crime by becoming a vigilante at night, getting into the heart of the criminal underworld, and sabotaging it from within. They go out each night in style and in Britt's armored and arsenal rich limo called The Black Beauty.
